Hong Kong will host the ACC Women's Emerging Asia Cup 2023 in June. They will face India, Pakistan, and Thailand in Group B.

Hong Kong will host the ACC Women's Emerging Asia Cup 2023 in June. They will face India, Pakistan, and Thailand in Group B.

Hong Kong will host the Women's T20 Emerging Asia Cup 2023 at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. The Asian Cricket Council tournament will play out from June 10-21. National "A" teams from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand against national teams from Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the UAE will compete across two groups. The top 2 teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals on June 19. The winners of the Semi-Finlals will play the final two days later on 21st June.

"The Asian Cricket Council's vision for cricket in the region includes creating equal opportunities for women to showcase their talent and take the sport to new heights," ACC president Jay Shah said.

"The Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 in Hong Kong is a great platform for young women cricketers to compete and grow. We are committed to developing women's cricket in Asia. It will ensure a bright future for the sport". The IPG Group will broadcast the event globally.

Hong Kong to host the ACC Women's Emerging Asia Cup 2023

Hong Kong will open their tournament against India A on June 13. Then they will face Pakistan A two days later, and Thailand A on June 17. Cricket Hong Kong (CHK) said it was "delighted and honoured" to be selected by the ACC to host the Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup. IPG Group will broadcast the event globally.

"It is an incredible event. It will not only showcase one of the best teams in women's cricket in Asia but will also provide a platform for the development of women's cricket across the region," CHK chief Burji Shroff said.

"This event will provide a great playing opportunity and exposure to our team. They will take on India A, Pakistan A, and Thailand A in group matches."

"Hong Kong has a successful history in hosting international cricket events. We look forward to welcoming visiting teams to Hong Kong. We want them to experience this wonderful city and showcase their skill in what will be a great event."
