According to reports by ANI - SL vs IND remaining two T20Is has been given a go and the second match is to be played later today.

The recent Covid positive test of Krunal Pandya had put the SL vs IND series in jeopardy. However, as per the latest reports by the ANI, the remaining two T20Is will take place. Moreover, the second match of the T20 series which was initially scheduled for yesterday will be played later tonight.

On the other hand, the situation became worse when as many as eight players were identified as close contacts to Krunal Pandya after he tested positive for Covid-19. Shaw, Surya Kumar Yadav, Hardik, Chahal, Chahar, Manish Pandey, and K Gowtham are eight of those players. The above-mentioned players will not be featuring in the remaining two games between SL vs IND.

According to the reports of the ANI, R Premadasa Stadium will host the third T20I tomorrow night. Meanwhile, the entire contingent underwent RT-PCR tests today to stop any further outbreak. Although there were already fogs hovering over the availability of Shaw and SKY because of the recent call up to England, these incidents just add fuel to the fire. As thing stands, Shaw and Yadav's England tour might also be in jeopardy. However, Sri Lanka will be enjoying a very unwanted advantage in the series as most of the key players of India will be out of the remaining matches.
