Barcelona vs PSG UEFA Champions League 2023-24 Quarter-final second leg | PSG beat Barcelona by 4-1 in a historic comeback

Luis Enrique and  Paris St. Germain defeated all the odds and made a historic comeback to beat FC Barcelona by 4-1 in Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 second-leg quarter-final match on Wednesday. Kylian Mbappe scored a brace for the French club while Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha scored the other goals as they became the first team to beat Barcelona in a UCL knockout match after conceding a deficit at home.

Barcelona, who were coming in with a 3-2 advantage over PSG, scored early in the game. Raphinha found the net from a Lamine Yamal cross. But, everything started going off for the home team as a mistake from Ronald Araujo led to a red card and Barcelona were down to 10 men within the first 30 minutes of the match. 

PSG did not take much time to take advantage of the situation as Dembele scored against his former team in the 40th minute. The second half ended with 1-1 and Barcelona leading on aggregate. 

In the second half, Barcelona's situation kept on getting worse. Xavi Hernandez, their head coach received a red card after Vitniha scored in the 54th minute of the match. Kylian Mbapee then scored from the penalty spot after Cancelo conceded a penalty. Mbappe then completed the riot for them in the 89th minute to take PSG to the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 semi-finals.

Luis Enrique became the first-ever former Barcelona coach to knock Barcelona out of the UEFA Champions League.
