German coach Friederike Kromp tested positive for Covid-19 and will be replaced by Melanie Behringer in the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup today

As German head coach Friederike Kromp tested positive for Covid-19 she will be represented in the match against Brazil by her assistant coaches Julia Simic and Melanie Behringer, who will be the head coach today in the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2022.

German head coach Friederike Kromp said, "In my coaching team, the processes continue to mesh very well, we accepted the new situation very quickly. I have full confidence that my players will be supported as best as possible by Melanie Behringer as head coach and the rest of the coaching team around Julia Simic on the line."

Melanie Behringer is a former professional player and played in 123 international games for our woman's national team. She won the World Cup in 2007 and is a two-time European Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist (2016).

Germany will face Brazil in the second quarter-final of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2022. The German team has won all of their matches till now and is one of the contenders to win the world cup.

Meanwhile, Brazil will also be confident after beating Morocco and India after the heroic draw against the mighty USA team.
