Manchester City continues their title charge after an important win against Klopp's struggling Liverpool side at Etihad. City scored 4 goals after Salah gave an early lead to Liverpool. Gundogan, Alvarez, Kdb & Grealish everyone registered their name on the scoreboard. Haaland was not in the lineup and that was the only hope for Liverpool's defense but they still couldn't capitalize on the chance and paid the ultimate price by being hammered in the away fixture. Salah scored the opening goal in the 17th minute of the game with a rebound chance & Liverpool got the early lead against Manchester City after pressing continuously. City kept the possession and Liverpool finally paid the prize after 10 minutes of their entry as the Argentinian young lad Alvarez equalised for City. The first half ended 1-1 as City continued bombarded into the final third.

Kevin de Bruyne scored the second goal for City right away at the start of the 2nd half. Manchester City got their well-deserving lead and it was the moment City completely took over the match. Ilkay Gundogan scored the third goal for City in the 53rd minute of the game. Manchester City tore apart Liverpool after a brilliant move from Mahrez. A simple and well-placed finish from Gundogan, typical Pep Guardiola football.

Jack Grealish scored the fourth goal and it was enough for them. Liverpool were all over the place and City did what they wanted. They kept their hopes alive for the title chase after this hammering win against their big rivals. Arsenal now needs to win their game to carry the lead difference with City.
