India kickstarted their FIH Hockey Women's PRO League in the finest way possible. After thrashing China in India's debut match with an unbelievable 7-1 win, India continued their winning streak by defeating China once again 2-1 in a thriller. The thrilling clash occurred at the same location, Sultan Qaboos Complex, Muscat, Oman on Tuesday.

Savita Punia-led team clinched the victory by 2 goals; both from the drag-flicker Gurjit Kaur (3' 49'). On the other hand, Shumin Wang (39') scored one goal for China. With back-to-back victories, India is now sitting at the top of the points table, while tieing alongside The Netherlands with 6 points in 2 games.
It is true that Tuesday's win was not as goal-heavy as Monday's win of the FIH Hockey Women's PRO League, but women in blue once proved and showed everyone their potential to play swift or attacking hockey with calm and composure.
India kept their momentum high for most of the first quarter. They did not allow China anyhow to get any move going and had a lead of 1-0 lead in the first 15 minutes. China tried hard to score and find the equalizer but India kept their calm and did not allow any further goals. Meanwhile, India received two back-to-back penalty corners with only 5 minutes left on the clock, but sadly Deep Grace Ekka failed to score those goals. Lastly, India slowed down the match in the last final minutes, as China was trying hard to get the ball back for the equalizer.
