Six Nations Championship

Starting early on in the year from February 5 to March 15, this tournament sees Ireland, Italy, France, England, Scotland and Wales compete in a showdown that’s exciting every year.

Tour of Britain

Next year the Tour of Britain is making another step forward towards gender parity in cycling. Featuring both men’s and women’s five-stage races, the event see’s the world’s elite cyclists traversing scenic routes across the UK.

The men’s race is planned to run from September 2nd to 6th, while the women’s race is on the schedule for August 19th to 23rd!

Winter Olympics & Paralympics

The Winter Olympics and Paralympics are finally back from February 6th to 22nd, returning to Italy and hosted by Cortina d’Ampezzo and Milan. Athletes will meet from countries around the world to compete in 15 sports held across five different venues.

Many of the venues have been modernised or built specifically for the 2026 year games, making it exciting for both athletes as well as spectators. 

The Paralympics follow shortly after from March 6 to 15, showcasing the world’s elite athletes with disabilities compete in events including sled hockey, alpine skiing and more.

FIFA World Cup

For football fans, 2026 is definitely not going to disappoint. The 2026 FIFA World Cup returns this summer and is the first one to be hosted by three different countries: Mexico, Canada and the USA.

Matches are going to be held across stadiums in cities all over North America. It will also be the first FIFA World Cup to feature 48 teams, promising fans more matches and players than ever before. 

It’s certainly going to be a historic one in any case, as the top football players take the world stage in an expanded format.

The oldest tennis tournament in the world makes its annual appearance. Taking place from June 29 to July 12 at the All England Club, Wimbledon is always a delight to watch.

Fans can expect some exciting matches on the now iconic grass courts as players compete for the prestigious title. Be sure to enjoy it with a glass of Pimm’s for a traditional Wimbledon experience.

Commonwealth Games

The host city of the Commonwealth Games is Glasgow. From July 23 to August 2nd, over 3000 athletes from 74 countries will be heading North to the Scottish city to compete in four venues across 10 sports.

World Series of Darts

There’s lots to look forward to early on in the year. On January 19th to 20th, the World Series of Darts will bring excitement and adrenaline to the world of sports.

Hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it’s a big one for the event as it marks the sport’s first major tournament to be held in the Middle. Expect all the action we’ve come to love from top players like Luke Humphries and world champion Luke Littler.

Super Bowl LX

The cold month of February is always one many dreads, but with the Super Bowl LX held on the 8th, there’s some great sports action to take away a bit of the darkness and chill. Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California will be the host to the championship game of the National Football League.
