Hello and welcome to Sportz Point's another coverage of the Premier League 2024-25

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal played a 1-1 draw against Fabian Hürzeler's Brighton on Matchday 3 of the latest Premier League season at the Emirates Stadium in London, Arsenal on 31st August 2024. 

What happened in the game?

Arsenal started the first half on a positive note. Saka forced Verbruggen to make a couple of saves inside the first 20-25 minutes of the game. Kai Havertz came up with the opening goal in the 39th minute. Arsenal were controlling the game and it looked like they would double their lead in the second half but it never happened.

Declan Rice saw his second yellow card just few minutes into the second half and Arsenal were reduced to 10 men. Brighton took the opportunity with both hands as Joao Pedro scored the equalizer before the 60th minute of the game. It looked like Brighton would take the game away from Arsenal's hands but the Gunners kept on attacking until the very end. Both teams could secure only a single point from the fixture.
