ISL Stats are something that everyone keeps an eye on and this time we are looking at the shot-stoppers in the Hero ISL, ahead of the 2021-22 campaign. Goalkeepers and their ISL stats are an important part of the game of football. They are the final line of defense to prevent the goal and also are the ones who make match-winning saves.

So let us look at the ISL Stats: Most saves in ISL history:

#1. Amarinder Singh (ATK Mohun Bagan)

Amrinder Singh was part of Pune FC before moving to ATK FC for Hero ISL 2015. After that, he joined Bengaluru FC in the I-League. Amrinder Singh joined Mumbai City FC for ISL 2016 and kept five clean sheets in six matches for them, winning the Golden Glove award in his debut season with the club. In 2017-18, he finished with 59 saves, the most by a keeper that season. In the 2018-19 campaign, He kept seven clean sheets in 19 matches. The 2019-20 season saw Amrinder keep four clean sheets. He was one of Mumbai City FC's best players in the 2020-21 ISL, keeping 10 clean sheets in 23 matches as they won both League Winners Shield and Hero ISL trophy. The shot-stopper, however, joined ATK Mohun Bagan in May 2021.

#2. Subrata Paul (SC East Bengal)

Paul made his debut in the Hero ISL back in 2014 with Mumbai City FC. He stayed for two seasons before joining NorthEast United FC during the ISL 2016. The Arjuna Awardee joined Jamshedpur FC for the 2017-18 campaign and won the Golden Glove award in that season, keeping seven clean sheets in 18 matches. The 2018-19 campaign, however, didn't favor him as he managed four clean sheets in 15 outings. The experienced veteran's 2019-20 campaign with Jamshedpur FC saw him manage two clean sheets. He made six appearances for Hyderabad FC in ISL 2020-21 season, keeping two clean sheets. Subrata Paul joined SC East Bengal on loan during the January transfer window for the remainder of the season.

#3. TP Rehenesh (Jamshedpur FC)

TP Rehenesh started his ISL career with NorthEast United FC in 2014. He had a magnificent 2015 season, managing 47 saves, the most by any goalkeeper that season and securing four clean sheets, the most by an Indian goalkeeper that season. After five seasons and has made 49 appearances for the side, he moved to Kerala Blasters FC for the 2019-20 campaign and kept two clean sheets in 13 appearances. Rehenesh joined Jamshedpur FC ahead of the 2020-21 ISL season and established himself as a regular with the side. He kept eight clean sheets in 19 appearances for Jamshedpur FC.

#4. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (Bengaluru FC)

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu began his professional football career with East Bengal. He represented them in the I-League from 2012 to 2014 before joining the Norway-based club Stabaek Football. There, he became the first Indian to feature in a UEFA Europa League match, starting in Stabaek's Europa League qualifying round against Welsh side Connah's Quay. Gurpreet returned to India to join Bengaluru FC before the 2017-18 season. He was a runner-up in the ISL that season and a winner in the Super Cup. Sandhu won the ISL trophy in 2018-19 alongside winning the Golden Glove award. He portrayed more stunning displays during the 2019-20 season, winning the Golden Glove award again.

#5. Arindam Bhattacharya (SC East Bengal)

Arindam Bhattacharya was a part of the India U-19 team after his good performance in the Subroto Cup. In 2008-09 he won the I-League with Churchill Brothers. After a short season with Mohun Bagan AC during the 2012-13 campaign, he returned to Churchill Brothers and won the Federation Cup in 2014. Arindam was in FC Pune City from 2014 to 2017 before joining Mumbai City FC for the 2017-18 season. The shot-stopper joined ATK FC before the 2018-19 campaign and established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper. He won the ISL trophy in the 2019-20 season with ATK FC. During ISL 2020-21, Arindam Bhattacharya won the Golden Glove award with ATK Mohun Bagan after helping his team to the final. He joined the rival club SC East Bengal ahead of the 2021-22 Hero ISL.
