HS Prannoy has lost to Jonatan Christie by 21-18, 21-16 in only 44 minutes in the Malaysia Open 2022 quarter-finals. While Sindhu lost to Tai Tzu Ying, HS Prannoy couldn't manage to enter the semifinals. It is quite a bad day for both Sindhu and Prannoy as they put a close fight against their tough opponents.

India's campaign at the Malaysia Open super 750 tournament has come to an end as both the Indian lost their quarter-final matches on Friday. Prannoy has won all his matches during India's historic Thomas Cup this year. Before coming to the quarter-final he defeated Chou Tien Chen by 21-15, 21-7. But in the quarter-final Christie played a clinical game. Hence, Prannoy's attack didn't work so well.
The Indonesian player, Jonathan Christie was part of the Indonesian men's team who won 2020 Thomas Cup. He has got gold medal in the 2018 Asian games. Christie won his first International senior title at the age of 15 in the Indonesia international challenge.
