India kicked off their Swiss Open 2022 campaign in the best way possible. Shuttler PV Sindhu makes her way into the second round of Swiss Open 2022 after emerging an easy victory against Denmark's Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt.
Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth also joined Sindhu after winning at their respective singles clashes on Wednesday. The two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu beat her opponent 21-14, 21-12 and reached second round of the women's singles. Sindhu will next clash against China's Neslihan Yigit.
The Indian duo of Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy won against the duo of Aline Muller and Jenjira Stadelmann. They registered the win with 21-15 21-16 in a 35 minutes match in the opening round of women's doubles.
Unfortunately, the duo of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila could not win against the Indonesian pair of Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto. They lost 19-21 13-21 in men's doubles.
