ICC Awards 2022: Women's Team of the year

The ICC Awards 2022 have officially recognized the Women's Team of the Year. Players who performed brilliantly in the year 2022 have been given a place in this team. Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has been given command of the team, while two Smriti Mandhana and Renuka Singh have also managed to make a place in the ODI team. This ODI team includes only those players who have performed brilliantly in the year 2022 with the ball, bat, or both.

Harmanpreet, who hit two centuries and five half-centuries during the calendar year, also chipped in with five wickets to secure a place in the Women's ODI Team of the Year 2022. The Indian skipper is joined in the list by compatriots Smriti Mandhana and Renuka Singh. Smriti and Renuka made their second appearance in the team of the year 2022 after being named in the T20I Team of the Year 2022. In the meantime, opener Mandhana scored six fifties and one hundred in the calendar year. She finished with 696 runs in 15 innings at an average of 49.71. Renuka, on the other hand, made the cut after ending the year with 18 wickets in 7 matches.

Apart from India, South Africa also has three players that made the ICC Women's ODI Team of the Year 2022. While Batter Laura Wolvaardt along with pacers Ayabonga Khaka and Shabnim Ismail are the three South African players in the best XI. Moreover, World Cup winners Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney are the two Australians. While Sophie Ecclestone and Nat Sciver are the two representatives from England. Amelia Kerr of New Zealand completes the eleven of the women's team of the year.
