ICC have confirmed the venue and dates for the World Test Championship 2025 final. Lord’s will host the final from 11 to 15 June 2025 with 16 June as a reserve day.

This will be the first time the iconic ground will be used for the final of the World Test Championship. The first-ever WTC final was hosted by Southhampton in 2021 while the 2023 edition's final was hosted by The Oval.

New Zealand and Australia won the finals respectively with India being the runners-up on the both occasions.

The final will be played between the top two teams of the 2023-25 cycle with team India leading the chart followed by the defending champions Australia.

However, all the other five teams New Zealand (third), England (fourth), Sri Lanka (fifth), South Africa (sixth) and Bangladesh (seventh) are still in contention to finish in top two.

Due to the weather hindering the finals on both ocassions, ICC has a reserved day for the final. 16 June will be kept as the reserve day of the final.

The ICC World Test Championship Final has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the cricketing calendar and we are pleased to announce the dates for the 2025 edition," Geoff Allardice, the ICC CEO said.

"It's a testament to the enduring appeal of Test cricket, which continues to captivate fans around the world. Tickets will be in high demand so I would encourage fans to register their interest now to ensure they are in with a chance of attending the Ultimate Test next year."
