ICC Team of the tournament for T20 World Cup 2022

Just hours before the ultimate final of the T20 World Cup 2022, International Cricket Council (ICC) announces the team of the tournament. The team features three Indians, including Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

The playing xi also includes both England openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales, as both of them had a brilliant outing this season. Virat and Surya hold the third and fourth positions respectively while Kiwi batter Glenn Philips makes his place at fifth. Philips hammered a hundred in the Super 12 stage while also scoring multiple half-centuries in this edition.

Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza got the sixth spot for his brilliant performance with both bat and bowl. Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan is in the seventh position while Protea pacer Nortje is the next.

Meanwhile, the rest three pacers remaining are England's Mark Wood, Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi, and Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh. The ICC announced T20 World Cup playing xi features five batters, two spinning all-rounders, and four pacers.
