    Sunrisers Hyderabad

    Heinrich Klaasen was the top scorer for SRH last season. He started the 2024 season, scoring 63 off 29 balls nearly winning the match for his side. He will be in the spotlight when the teams face each other in Hyderabad. Wanindu Hasaranga is yet to join the squad and is expected to be unavailable for another week. Marco Jansen and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were expensive against KKR so they will be hoping to make a comeback against Mumbai.

    Natarajan picked up three wickets in the match against KKR and will try to repeat that against the mighty MI. Skipper Pat Cummings was decent in the opening fixture and his spell will be very important in their first game at home. Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma started superbly for SRH during the huge chase against KKR and it was needed as SRH are coming after a season, where their opener struggled to add runs to the scoreboard.

    Mumbai Indians

    Suryakumar Yadav will be still unavailable for Mumbai Indians as he is recovering from ankle surgery at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Luke Wood didn't have a great time against Gujarat with the ball but Dewald Brevis who eventually came in as an impact player, went on to play a mature inning. Another oversee bowler, Gerald Coetzee bowled a sensible 4-over spell against GT and is going to lead the bowling unit alongside star bowler Jasprit Bumrah who also bowled a sensational 4-over spell in that match. Mumbai may opt for Mohammad Nabi to provide an extra spin-bowling option.

    Rohit Sharma had a great outing at Gujarat and will be hoping this time from Ishan Kishan to get some help from the other end.
