The ICC has announced the ICC Men's Player of the Month nominees for August 2022. They have been nominated for their best performance in this. England captain Ben Stokes have been named for the ICC men's Player of the Month, including Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza, and New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner.

Ben Stoke has been nominated for his brilliant overs against South Africa as he took wickets of Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen. Besides, he scored an amazing century helping England take a huge lead of 264 runs to help England win by an innings and square the series 1-1 with one more Test to go.
Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza had an amazing outing in ODIs against Bangladesh and India, scoring three centuries in August. He made 135*, 117* against Bangladesh, helping Zimbabwe win the ODI series, and 115 against India to almost take Zimbabwe to a win.
New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner enjoyed a brilliant August 2022 both with the bat and ball in hand and played a crucial role in the Black Caps' six wins out of eight in the month. In the second T20I against the Netherlands, he blasted 42-ball 77*. He then picked three wickets each in the first two T20Is against West Indies and also played a huge role in the ODI series for which he was adjudged the Player of the Series.
