Momentum for City as Chekri's cross is deflected for a corner by Hato.

Palmer challenged Doku at the edge of the box, and he went down quickly. However, no penalty says the referee. 

Back-to-back corners for City as Cherki's cross was deflected away for a corner, and then another block game them the second corner. 

Huge chance for Haaland inside the box. However, he did not have perfect timing on the shot, Hato made the big slide to make the block.

No changes from either team as Chelsea start the second half.

Lots of half-chances for both teams, but the finishing was not there. Cucurella was the only one who hit the back of the net, but it was offside, so the goal was declined.

Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto and Santos created some chances for Chelsea. Meantime it was Doku, Chekri, Semenyo, and O’Reilly who created some moments for the visitors. Silva forced a save from Sanchez as well.

The first half ended goalless, and Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fans would be the happiest if the scoreline stays like this.

Final chance before the first-half whistle. 

Good curling delivery form Pedro Neto, but Santos could not control the header for the goal. 

Semenyo did well to make a cutback from the right and go past three defenders before making a left-footed effort. His shot was deflected away for a corner by Santos. 

Meantime, one minute has been added to the half-time. 

Right at the front of the box, Rodri wanted to unleash a shot but Cherki was there in front of him.

Gusto and Neto linked up well before finding Santos, whose lobbed service was grabbed easily by Donnarumma.

After a short corner, the Chelsea defence has forced City to go for back passes and wait for another turn. 

Silva tried to make an entry on the right but Cucurella was there to make the block with a slide.

O’Reilly with another great run on the left and then a cutback to find Cherki in the middle. However, Cherki's left footed shot did not enough power and direction to beat Sanchez.

Doku, who is playing his first league match since early February, is looking dangerous on the flank. Santos had to foul him to stop him this time.

O’Reilly with the cutback from the byline on the left of the box, and Bernardo Silva side-footed it on target. However, Sanchez was quick to get down and make the save. 

It was nearly one-on-one as the big goalkeeper first thought of going back to that lobbed ball from Joao Pedro. But he decided to come running in and negate the attack.

Cherki and Doku linked up to find Haaland. However, the angle from Doku's pass was not perfect, and Sanchez was able to come running in and grab the ball. 

Top delivery from Gusto, and it's Joao Pedro, who was inches away from getting a touch on that ball and score the goal. 

Excellent from Doku. He kept going with the ball on the left but the final touch was a tad strong whic allowed Chelsea defence to intervene. 

This has been the scene so far. End-to-end action but not so great finishing. 

This time, Cherki looked for someone in his team, but he was off target with the pass from the right. 

So far, the big striker has looked a tad off colour. This time, Doku played out a great short pass at the edge of the box for him to turn and shoot, but he missed the chance after a sloppy first touch. 

Again, great stuff from Pedro Neto on the left. He made the movements and kept on going with the ball, before unleashing the left-footed shot from a tight angle. 

He looked for the far post. Donnarumma went down quickly to make the save. 

End-to-end action. Great stuff from O’Reilly, but his attempted cross was blocked by Santos/ 

So close for Chelsea. 

Pedro Neto with some great movements in the middle and then played it out wide to Cucurella, who finished the job with perfection, was offside by some inches.

Quite astonishing to see that many 'Go on, City' chants at Stamford Bridge. 

Palmer has got the better of the Spaniard quite a few times as the English star made the quick move in the middle. Rodri pulled him back from behind and conceded the free-kick.

However, Neto's long and flat free-kick wasted the chance for Chelsea. 

Rodri could not control the ball at the edge of the box, and Palmer found Joao Pedro on the left of the box.

As Pedro looked for a tight angle to beat Donnarumma, it was Khusanov who made the block, coming from behind.

Counterattack from the home team as Cole Palmer made the long run through the middle and then looked for Pedro Neto on the left. However, City were able to nullify the attack. 

Good opportunity for Rodri. However, his delivery from the right went straight to the goalkeeper. 

Vital interception for Chelsea. Guehi with the cross and he was looking for Haaland inside the box. 

Cherki is down, but it is Semenyo who wins the corner as his attempted cross has been deflected away by Cucurella.

Manchester City start the proceedings.
