Mohun Bagan are being managed by assistant coach Clifford Miranda in absence of incoming interim coach Antonio Habas, are missing several key players for the Kalinga Super Cup. Seven Indian regulars for MBSG are in Qatar for the AFC Asian Cup 2023.

The club are dependent to their foreign strikers for goals as Jason Cummings and Armando Sadiku scored goals in a win over Sreenidii Deccan in their campaign opener.

Nim Dorjee Tamang was sensational against East Bengal and also scored a beautiful goal to bring Hyderabad on level terms. 22-year-old Ramhlunchhunga also delivered on the expectations and scored the first equaliser for his side.
