Manchester United Transfer News: Barcelona ""prepared to sell"" De Jong to United for 70 million

In the latest Manchester United Transfer News, Football Insider has reported that Barcelona is now prepared to sell their midfielder, Frenkie de Jong to the Premier League Giants. Erik Ten Hag and Manchester United have been after Frankie since the time he signed for United as a coach. Along with Frankie, United have set their eyes on another La Liga star, Eduard Camavinga.

United ready to pay £70 million for Frenkie de Jong

Manchester United's dream to unite Erik Ten Hag with former Ajax star Frenkie de Jong might become reality this summer. Since the Catalan club is still going through financial problems, they are prepared to sell their star midfielder for a whooping £70 million.

Along with Manchester United, as per recent Transfer News, Chelsea is also interested in Frenkie de Jong. They are willing to match Barcelona's price of £70 million to get the Dutch playmaker. Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is willing to bring in the mid-field star to Stamford Bridge. But, they will surely be challanged by United in this battle.

Last season, De Jong decided to stay with Xavi's Barcelona after all the specualtions. However, with Barcelona's ongoing financial crisis, he might have to give up and forced to go somewhere else.

Manchester United eyeing Camavinga along with Frenkie de Jong

Although United and Ten Hag are still looking for a new centre forward, a central mid-fielder like De Jong is their number choice. Along with De Jong, Manchester United eyeing Eduard Camavinga this summer. However, Real Madrid considers him "untouchable."
