Former Ismaily player and El-Magd SC head coach, Adham El-Selhedar, died while celebrating his team's goal in an Egyptian Second Division clash. He collapses when his team scored the first goal of the match in the 92nd minute.
Alexandria's El-Magd were up against Al-Zarka in matchday nine of the season. However, the game seemed to be heading for a goalless draw. However, the Alexandrian side managed to score the winner in the 92nd minute to successfully secure the three points.

During the celebrations, El-Selhedar suddenly passed out and was immediately rushed to the hospital. The second division coach later died in the Al-Amriya hospital in Alexandria. Meanwhile, it was said that a heart attack was the reason behind his death.
El-Selhedar spent the majority of his professional career with Ismaily during the 1990s. He also succeeded in lifting both the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup titles.
After a brief spell with Al-Sharkia, he became a coach. Meanwhile, he took charge of Libya's Al-Ittihad and was even part of the Ismaily coaching staff. El-Selhedar was previously the caretaker manager of the Egyptian top-flight side. The same club he represented as a player and won several titles. He won the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup crown.
El Magd climbed up to seventh in the second division table with 14 points after nine games.
