A shocking record that the Mumbai Indians franchise and fans didn't expect before the start of the season. Rohit led Mumbai Indians to become the first team to lose seven consecutive games in an IPL season. They suffered their 7th defeat against Chennai Super Kings when Dhoni smashed Unadkat for 16 runs in the final four deliveries last night. In the 2013 season, DD registered 6 consecutive losses while RCB recorded the same in 2019.

From the very first game to the seventh game, MI lost all of them to register the record in IPL. The teams that have defeated MI this season are DC, RR, KKR, RCB, PBKS, LSG, and CSK. Nothing is going well for the franchise as they have come close to victory in three of the seven games while ended up on the losing side.

A view of Mumbai Indians 7 consecutive losses in IPL 2022:

Lost to Delhi Capitals by 4 wickets
Lost to Rajasthan Royals by 23 runs
Lost to Kolkata Knight Riders by 5 wickets
Lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets
Lost to Punjab Kings by 12 runs
Lost to Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs

Mumbai will now face Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, 24th April in their reverse fixture of the season. It's going too tough for the champion side to get their first two points. So, the question is, When the five-time champions will get their first win of the season? When will it happen? Let us just sit back and wait.
