Riya Das scalped two wickets while Payal grabbed three as Harbour Diamonds registered an easy 8-wicket victory over Siliguri Strikers at the J U 2nd Campus Ground, Salt Lake in Kolkata.

Harbour Diamonds won the clash against Siliguri Strikers at the J U 2nd Campus Cricket Ground in Salt Lake in the ongoing Bengal Pro T20 League 2024. Riya Das and Payal Vakharia shined with the bowl and restricted their opposition to 95 runs. It was quite an easy chase for the Diamonds. Jhumia Khatun and Sansthita Biswas led the chase for Harbour Diamonds. They took time but also took the team over the line.

Bengal Women's Pro T20 League 2024

Siliguri batted first and could only manage to put up 95 runs on the scoreboard. The bowling unit of the Diamonds were up to the mark as they didn't leak runs cheaply. Skipper Sukanya Parida only gave away 7 runs in his 4-over spell. It seemed like she was bowling in the red ball format. Preeti Mondal (8) and Bristi Maji (19) opened the inning for Siliguri and added 25 runs for the first wicket before Riya Das dismissed both of them.

Bengal Women's Pro T20 League 2024

Muskan Sinha (12) and skipper Priyanka Bala (23) built a partnership but it wasn't enough for Siliguri to reach the 100-run mark. The skipper was looking good. She struck four quick boundaries but Payal Vakharia dismissed her at the right time to put on the pressure once again. Chandrima Ghosal remained not out on 24 off 22 deliveries as Siliguri Strikers put up 95 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs.

It was relatively a quick start for the Harbour Diamonds. Sansthita Biswas scored 31 runs before returning to the dressing room due to an injury. Priya Pandey scalped the wicket of Sanchita Adhikary (10) in the sixth over. Jhumia Khatun remained not out until the end and finished on 33. The Skipper Sukanya Parida could only make 5 runs before losing her wicket. For Siliguri, Singdha Bag picked up 1 wicket in his 4-over spell and only leaked 17 runs.
