Virat Kohli rested for the West Indies series, squad announcement in tomorrow

Virat Kohli is seeking rest in one series after another. He is also asking for another break in the T-20 series against West Indies according to PTI. Though, no decision has been made yet, his poor form has raised questions on his place in the Indian team. On the other hand, India's squad announcement for the West Indies T20 series has been postponed, it might happen tomorrow.

Virat Kohli might have been rested for the ODI series against West Indies. He is also rumored to be rested for the T20 series as well. The former captain is not in great form for a long time. He has scored 1 and 11 runs in T20 series against England, also didn't get a run in the Test before. He made a century for the last time in 2019. After that, Kohli was rested for the South Africa series as well as the first T20 match against England. People are not happy with the former skipper's repeated rest.

BCCI sources claim that, Kohli injured his groin in the third T20 against England. Indian have two more matches left in the England series. If Virat plays in these two matches, the fans will eagerly want to see runs from his bat. Because, he might not play in the West Indies tour. If he does so, he won't be seen playing for a month.

IND vs WI squad selection

India's squad announcement for the West Indies T20 series has been postponed, it might happen tomorrow. The meeting was cancelled on Monday after Virat Kohli injured his groin. Virat Kohli is all set to take a rest for the tour even though the team management and the selectors were not ready. 

The five T20 matches against West Indies will be the biggest opportunity for Indian coach Rahul Dravid to test the combination. With that in mind, a final decision will only be taken during the selection meeting.

India will play a three-match ODI and five-match T20 series against West Indies. The series will start from July 22. Shikhar Dhawan might lead the ODI series as captain Rohit Sharma has been rested.
