Ireland emerged their third victory in a bilateral ODI series against a test-playing country after Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. In a 3-match ODI series of Ireland tour of United States of America and West Indies, the host defeated West Indies and won the series by 2-1. West Indies vs Ireland was an entertaining series and had quite some match-turning performances. Andy McBrine was the star of the night and his phenomenal performance with both bat and ball helped Ireland to clinch the series 2-1.

West Indies started the first match of the series with a win. Top knocks by Sharmarh Brooks and captain Kieron Pollard helped the team to end the innings with 269 runs. The bowling line-up also played their part well and picked up all the wickets and sent the entire Ireland team back to the pavilion with 245 runs on the scorecard. As a result, West Indies won the first match by 24 runs. Sharmarh Brooks was awarded the Player of the Match award.
Moving on to the 2nd match of the West Indies vs Ireland ODI Series, Ireland won the match by 5 wickets by the DLS method. West Indies batted in the first innings and aggregated 229 runs. Ireland came to bat in the second innings with a target of 168 runs and won by 5 wickets. The Player of the Match was Andy McBrine.
The third and final match was the tie-breaker and the decider. West Indies came to the pitch to bat first and aggregated 212 runs in 44.4 overs. Followed by Ireland, the host played with a great effort and won the match by 2 wickets. The player of the match Andy McBrine scalped 4 crucial wickets and also played an important knock of 52 runs. Also, Andy McBrine was awarded the Player of the Series for his overall contribution throughout the series.
