A total of 409 players will be auctioned in the inaugural Women's Premier League Auction on 13th February in Mumbai.

On February 13, a total of 409 players will be auctioned at the inaugural Women's Premier League auction in Mumbai. A total of 1525 players have registered their names for the Women's Premier League auction, out of those 246 are Indians.

A total of 24 players have listed their names at the highest base price of INR 50 lakh. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti, Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Shafali Verma, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Ecclestone, Sophie Devine and Deandra Dottin will be auctioned at the highest price.

A maximum of 90 players can be bought in the auction, meaning each team can have 15 to 18 players in their squad. Each squad can have a maximum of six overseas players.

Every franchise will have a purse of INR 12 cr. to spend to make their entire squad in the auction.

The auction will start at 2:30 PM Indian Standard Time on 13th February. Meanwhile, the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League will begin from March 4 to 26. A total of 22 matches will be played at Brabourne stadium and DY Patil stadium.
