Fedor Cernych beat the EBFC goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill and scored inside an empty net to provide his side with the early lead. But things changed dramatically toward the end of the opening session. First, Jeakson Singh was sent off with a second yellow, and moments later, the Blasters conceded a penalty in added time. Saul Crespo made no mistake and scored the equaliser.

A few minutes later, the Blasters were down to nine men as Kerala defender Naocha Singh was sent off with a red card for head-butting C.K. Aman.
