Premier League News: Lampard set to be new Everton coach

According to the latest premier league news, Frank Lampard is the favorite choice for the Everton Manager; after impressing the club members after a final round of interviews with the club's hierarchy on Friday.

After Rafael Benitez's horror, Everton is looking for a better solution and were looking at options. Finally, after holding talks they are finally proceeding with Frank Lampard. Their initial approach was Wayne Rooney who was not interested in the offer as he was not ready to play in the Premier League. The other two shortlisted candidates are Everton's caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson and former Porto and Olympiacos coach Vítor Pereira. Bournemouth, Norwich City, and Newcastle United also showed interest in Lampard for the top job.

Lampard began his coaching career at Derby, managing the club in 2018-19. He was then appointed by his longtime club Chelsea, making him the first English manager of the club in two decades.

Lampard took the Blues to a fourth-place finish and the FA Cup final in his first season. However, a poor run forced Lampard to be dismissed in 2021. Chelsea went on to win the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel.
