Rodrigo Bentancur has shared an affirming message for the fans via Instagram after facing a frightening collapse during Tottenham's semi-final clash against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final last night.

The Uruguayan midfielder received extensive medical attention on the pitch and was taken to the hospital for further examination.

However, the player has shared a message via his Instagram story, saying he is "all good" and also thanked the fans for their serious concerns regarding his health updates. The message reads:

All good, guys! Thank you for the messages!!! Congratulations [for] the victory boys!!!

Despite the concerning instance, Tottenham earned a 1-0 victory over Liverpool at home in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final clash.

"All good guys": Bentancur thanked the fans

Bentancur returned to feature for the Spurs after serving a 7-game ban, but he collapsed on the pitch only nine minutes into the game. The midfielder attempted a diving header inside the opponent's box but weirdly fell down, drawing the attention of other players.

Spurs defender Pedro Porro immediately approached the player and called the referee Stuart Atwell to stop the game. The Tottenham medical personnel quickly rushed onto the pitch as Bentancur required an almost 10-minute-long medical treatment on the pitch.

The 27-year-old midfielder was then stretchered off and taken to the hospital for further check-ups as the spectators in the stadium stood up to applaud him. However, Sky Sports TV broadcaster Mark Chapman provided the following update at half-time for the viewers.

The latest we have on Bentancur after that awful looking injury in the first half is that when he was stretchered off the doctors accompanied him to the dressing room and he is still in there with the doctors. That is the only update that we have.

It was later revealed that Bentancur remained conscious after the fall and also managed to speak.

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou conveyed further updates after the full-time whistle and praised the team for their immediate actions.

There's nothing too detailed (at this stage). He was conscious when he came off the field and he’s been taken to hospital for some observations so we’re hoping he’ll be okay,

It was pretty distressing at the time, seeing him go down like that, for the players. Dealing with adversity, these players just compose themselves and responded to it really well.

However, Bentancur provided his health update with his gratitude towards the fans and the world is wishing for his speedy recovery.
