Indian Women's Hockey team reached the semi-final of the Commonwealth Games 2022 after getting the better of Canada 3-2 in a thrilling Group A fixture on Wednesday.

The Indian women started their CWG 2022 journey with a resounding 5-goal victory against Ghana. After that, their winning streak was cut short as they went down to the English team by 1-3. But, they did not give up and beat Canada Women by 3 goals to 1 in their next match.

India is third in group A ranking with 2 wins and 1 loss in 3 games. England, with three wins from as many matches, is currently on top of Pool A. If England avoids at least a nine-goal defeat against Wales in their final match, India will take on mighty Australia in the semi-finals on Friday.
