The U19 Men’s Asia Cup is the premier Asian tournament for young cricketing talents and the U19 Asia Cup tournament gives a platform to young sensations to showcase their talent on a big stage. The first time the tournament was introduced in 1989, at that time the it was known as the Youth Asia Cup.

India have been dominating the tournament as they won the title eight times. Bangladesh mangaged to win the title two times and other nations like Pakistan, and Afghanistan won the title only once. In 2012, the arch-rivals India and Pakistan shared the trophy as the match ended in a tie.

It was an eventful and historic day for Bangladesh cricket, who claimed their second consecutive U-19 Asia Cup title by defeating the Indian side in Dubai by a margin of 59 runs. Putting 198 on board in the finale, the Bangla Tigers stunned India by cleaning them up for just 139 runs.
Previously, last year, Bangladesh defeated the United Arab Emirates in the finals as they clinched the match by a mammoth margin of 195 runs to put their name on the trophy for the first time.
On the other hand, India U-19 lost out on winning the tournament for only the third time in history, with the previous tournaments happening in 2017 and 2023, as they couldn't reach the finals on both occasions.
