    Rajasthan Royals are sitting at the second spot of the points table and have already qualified for the playoffs with 16 points. But, they are coming after three straight losses and will be desperate to win the two remaining games. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal have scored some valuable runs at the top for their side which have given the middle-order batters more freedom. But they haven't been so consistent which has created some problems in recent games.

    Sanju Samson has been the most crucial player for Rajasthan in the top order, scoring 486 runs in 12 matches. Riyan Parag is set to bat at no 4 and he has been brilliant for the side. He has already scored 483 runs for RR in 12 matches which speaks volume. Dhruv Jurel played a crucial cameo in the last game and he has been decent so far this season.

    Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma are highly expected to feature as the leading pace bowlers with Avesh Khan bowling the death overs. But, they proved to be very expensive in the last game. Although Avesh bowled a tight 2-over spell but couldn't scalp any wicket.

    Yuzvendra Chahal bowled a sensational spell against CSK and proved why he is one of the best spinners India have ever produced. Although he got only wicket but that could have been the game changer if it wasn't for other bowlers. He didn't get enough support from the others and the defending total also very less.

    Ashwin finally getting some wickets and improving a lot in the middle overs. Chahal and Ashwin were the only positive from RR's bowling unit from the last game and they will try to replicate that in the game against Punjab. 

    Punjab Kings

    PBKS are coming into this game after a huge loss against Bangalore. Bairstow got off to a good start but Prabhsimran could only add four runs. The opening pair has been hot and cold for the entire season and Punjab haven't been able to improve. Jitesh Sharma's struggle continues. He is a huge flop for PBKS this season. Shashank Singh played another impressive knock in the previous game but that wasn't enough as PBKS couldn't chase the title.

    Rilee Rossouw played a brilliant knock of 61 after facing only 27 deliveries. He will try to replicate that performance in the game against Rajasthan too. Liam Livingstone featured but left the field without scoring any runs. Ashtosh Sharma is also expected to feature on Wednesday but his form is a worrying sign.

    Harshal Patel picked up three wickets while Kaverappa scalped two in the previous game. Harshal is improving game by game and has already scalped 20 wickets this season. Arshdeep Singh did concede 41 runs and he is not consistent despite getting 16 wickets this season. Rahul Chahar also went very expensive and his performances are not up to the mark.
