What happened in the game?
Mohun Bagan Super Giant beat Bengaluru FC in the second and final semi-final match of the Durand Cup 2024 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata on 27th August, Tuesday. The Mariners were 2-0 down in the second half but Petratos and Thapa brought their side back in the game and took it to the penalties.
Earlier, Sunil Chhetri and Vinith provided the lead to the Blues but they couldn't held on to it for long. Vishal Kaith then produced two back-to-back saves in the shootout to send the Mariners into the Durand Cup 2024 Final, where they will face the Highlanders.
